Fattoria Montagliari is a small family owned and run farm that has been producing wine using the most traditional methods since 1720.
In fact, most of the barrels used for aging our wine are made of wood coming from the surrounding local area, as has been done in the region for hundreds of years.
Our vast vinsanteria contains over 500 caratelli, the small kegs used for aging vinsanto, in which our own vinsanto is patiently aged for at least 10 years. The owners, the Migliorini family, bought Fattoria Montagliari in 1999. They bring to the farm's long history their own time-honored knowledge of the traditions and folklore, customs and culture of the Chianti region.
The farm produces Chianti Classico DOCG, Chianti Classico Riserva, Brunesco di San Lorenzo IGT, Grappa, Brandy, Amaro di San Lorenzo, aged Vinsanto (currently opening 1995, 1985 and 1965 -1962), Extra Virgin Olive Oil, and aged Trebbiano Balsamic (20 and 28 years). Our products can be purchased from our online shop as well as in our farm store and restaurant.
